The Ocean Race Returns to Itajaí, Brazil in 2021 – 2022

As recently announced, the Ocean Race confirmed that one of the stopovers will be in Itajaí in Brazil. This is the 6th confirmed stopover of the race out of nine planned stops and mark the race’s fourth consecutive visit to the Santa Catarina City.

The location has historically been a very popular one in the Volvo Ocean race and was visited by half a million fans in the 2017 – 2018 race.

The confirmed stopovers so far of the Ocean Race route are the following

  • Alicante
  • Aarhus
  • The Hague
  • Cabo Verde
  • Genoa
  • Itajaí

The race will start in Alicante in Spain and finish in Europe in the early summer of 2022.
